Imata explores various subject matters in still life, landscape,
and figurative paintings. She constantly learns from beauty in nature and
believes by opening up to the possibility of painting different subject matters
will nurture and feed one another. Imata specially enjoys working on portrait paintings for challenges of learning not only the sitters' facial and physical features, but also their personality and life in order to capture "Sitters' presence" in the painting. Her recent portrait commission was unveiled at the Montefiore Hospital (Bronx, NY) in February 2013.
